What is the practice of floating?

Floating also know as sensory deprivation, is a way to temporarily unplug from a world of doing and enter a world of pure being. It is a way to pause from our hectic,  sensory saturated lives and enter a state of deep mental and physical relaxation.

Each float session is for one single user.  Each float tank has been specifically designed and engineered to create a unique environment void of external distractions and sensory inputs, free from light, sound, touch and scent.

The floater will enter a quite, warm, private pool called a "float tank". The tank is filled with "Tirta" (Balinese holy water) which is heated & maintained at body temperature (93.5 F / 34.5 C) and mixed with 1000lbs of highly purified epsom salts (magnesium sulfate). The experience provides the floater with the incredible feeling of weightlessness in a solution that is twice as buoyant as the Dead Sea. This creates a serene enviorment which helps relax the entire being... leaving you feeling rejuvenated, vital and alive. This is a very profound and deeply nourishing healing modality, which is great for all types of people and ages.

Stepping into a float tank is a highly subjective experience.  No two floating experiences are the same.  A float might have you slip into a deeply relaxed, meditative state.  It is possible to feel your body disappear, your ego dissolve and to experience, perhaps for the first time ever, a sense of pure being & pure awareness.  A float might result in a deep-dive into the inner-landscapes of your internal infiniteness, giving you access to aspects of your subconscious or it might take you on a lucid, dream-like journey of the cosmos and back.  Nothing at all might happen.  

While the experience you have will be largely be determined by what you “bring” with you on that day, the most consistent and widely experienced effect of floating is a deep and lasting sense of tranquility, peace & relaxation.  Consistent floating typically results in one feeling like they are able to “float through the world”.
